the hunt is on!

The 3rd consecutive January Scavenger Hunt is well under way with most of the teams ticking off the first Challenge to run on New years Day.

With the amount of recent rainfall, many of the runs have consisted of puddles and mud but that hasn't deterred any of the competitors. In stark contrast, Team 'Holidaymakers' were going out early to avoid the midday sun and posting pictures on the group WhatsApp of picturesque beaches and swanky swimming pools in the background.

Some of the challenges only require one team member to do a particular challenge and it appears some teams seem to be a bit one sided. Particularly 'Daintey Liver' consisting of Dan Massey and Verity Pillinger-Cork.  Verity completing 3 Challenges by Day 3, had put maximum effort in, whilst Dan, recovering from the recent festivities, had barely contributed by merely starting 'the planning stage' on a few of the more 'thought provoking' Challenges.

Solo runner Joseph had been planning his month wisely and started the scavenger strong by running on new years day and attended Tuesday night training in the rain!

S & M (Sarah and Mark) have put in a good joint effort both attending Training and Mark running the Winchester Parkrun on New Years Day whilst Sarah recovered from a recent bad cold and planned some of the other challenges to do later on in the week.

Team Anderstick, who are combining the Scavenger challenges with marathon training are hot contenders to clock up the highest mileage in the month of January.

Towed by Bernard - Husband and wife duo Steve and Sharon Wyeth, will be hot on Team Anderstick's heels for a high mileage month as Sharon is also marathon training. Their team name is inspired by their beloved hound Bernard who is definitely key to their high mileage with the combination of exercising him and ticking off various daily challenges.

Syd and Eddie aka Natalie and Billy have also started strong with daily runs and attending training to gain maximum points.

Late to the party 'Mojo' - Amanda and Jo - have hit the ground running by ticking off the new years day challenge.

It's the 3rd year for Team Bevgar and the word 'Team' is definitely key for them' with Liz  attending the first Tuesday Training sessions and Suzanne running a parkrun on New Years Day.

Extremely competitive father and son duo 'Team Garland' are keeping a low profile whilst they quietly tick off each challenge with the early planning to gain the maximum points.
