Dogs on club runs

We’re a sociable running club and we’re happy for members to bring dogs along to social runs, as long as it works for everyone.

The basics

• Dogs are allowed on social runs only (not coached sessions, races, or any run marked “no dogs”).

• Dogs must be kept under control at all times — short leads only (hands-free leads preferred) where appropriate.

• Owners are fully responsible for their dog before, during, and after the run.

• Please always clean up after your dog.

Behaviour matters

Your dog must be friendly, calm, and comfortable around people and other dogs. No aggressive, reactive, or disruptive behaviour.

If a dog is causing safety issues or disrupting the group, the run leader may ask the owner to leave.

A quick note

The club committee can restrict or ban dogs (including individual dogs) from runs if needed to keep everyone safe and happy.

We love running with dogs — let’s just make sure it stays safe, fun, and considerate for all.
