Join Halterworth Harriers

It's a well documented fact that people who take up running often give up after a few months. Running with others helps to maintain your commitment, so by joining us you are taking the first step to making running a long term part of your life. 

We are very friendly, welcoming all ages and abilities. Our training sessions are supportive, there is no pressure to push beyond your limits. Our social runs are usually at a pace to allow plenty of conversation and a chance to admire our surroundings. Many of us enjoy taking part in races, or going along to support our fellow club members.

Halterworth Harriers is affiliated with the Association of Running Clubs. As a member of an affiliated club, you can rest assured that our coached sessions are fully insured and that our club is well governed.

If you're interested in joining us, have a look at our training sessions and come along to a Tuesday session to get to know us before you sign up. 

Under 18?

Runners aged 15 to 18 may join the Club and take part in CC6 and RR10 races. However, we DO NOT run a formal junior section and we ask that junior members are always accompanied and supervised by an adult member of Halterworth Harriers.

Fees 2025/6

Your membership fee covers the on-going training of our club coaches and officials, hire of the summer running track, insurance cover, entry into CC6/RR10 races, access to weekend club runs and training sessions, discounts in running shops, and the enthusiastic support of your fellow Harriers. 

The membership year starts in April, so the amount you initially pay depends on when you join (after that, as a member, you will always be asked to renew at full price every April):

• Joining or renewing 1 April 2025 to 30 September 2025 - full price - £36 adult members/£24 junior members

• Joining 1 October 2025 to 28 Feb 2026 - reduced price - £26 adult members/£14 junior members

• Joining 1 to 31 March 2025 - full price for 13 months (until April 2026) - £36 adult members/£24 junior members
