welcome to halterworth harriers

Halterworth Harriers is a road and trail running club based in Romsey, Hampshire, UK. We offer weekly coached training sessions, as well as a range of social runs and other events.

Whether you're new to running and looking for advice on how to train, or an experienced runner seeking to improve your performance, Halterworth Harriers has something to offer you. With our relaxed and friendly approach to running we can turn running and training into an enjoyable experience, helping you to stay motivated.

Our running programme is a mixture of regular Tuesday evening coached sessions and ad hoc runs organised by the members ourselves - see our training page and events listings for full details. The training sessions are led by one of our UK Athletics trained coaches or running leaders, who are happy to discuss your individual training needs so that you train in a safe and effective manner.

The club competes in two local, friendly cross-country leagues (the CC6 and RR10), with runners ranging from 17 to 70+. Throughout the year many members also participate in a wide range of runs and races from 5k to ultra-marathons.  If you're aiming to complete your first event, or maybe your hundredth, doing so with the support of a club adds to the enjoyment.

We're called the Halterworth Harriers, as that's where we started out, but our members come from all over Romsey (and beyond!).

We look forward to welcoming you to the team. Feel free to contact us and ask about our next run!
